Animal Rights movement in decline

Recent months have seen positive developments for those targeted by animal rights extremists. The most recent statistics show a real downturn in the number and ferocity of activity. There have been some significant arrests and charges brought against some of the more radical activists. Along with the first prosecutions arising from the economic damage legislation the animal rights movement as a whole appears to be in a steep decline.

About us

VARE was set up in April 2004 by a group of people who had suffered harassment, intimidation, property damage and violence at the hands of animal rights extremists. VARE is an association of people and organisations who have been subjected to illegal or potentially illegal forms of animal rights protests because of their connection with the use of animals in medical research.
